• SokoPro brings order to Vihti’s investment project management

    The centralised Project Bank combined with good customer service brings much-needed order and security to municipal construction projects.

    The municipality of Vihti has trusted SokoPro Project Bank for more than six years already. Initially, the management of municipal construction projects was the sum of many factors: The old and new SokoPro platforms, email as well as some other project management systems were all in use simultaneously, which made the operations fragmented.

    The situation became significantly clearer when we decided to centralise project management in one place, to the SokoPro 2.0 platform. By September 2025, all projects had been successfully migrated to the new version. When you know the principles of version 1.0, you can also use the new platform, says Project Manager Kari Puttonen, who serves as SokoPro’s main user in most of Vihti’s construction projects.

    A solid backbone for investment projects

    Vihti is working on 17 projects, which mainly consist of the renovation of the municipality’s properties, new construction and various development projects. Puttonen notes that SokoPro is used systematically in all investment projects entered in the budget, regardless of their size.

    One of the most important areas in all construction projects is the management of meeting minutes and other documentation. Puttonen emphasises that although people were also able to build before with “graph paper and the telephone”, modern project management and legal protection require airtight documentation.

    SokoPro helps manage large groups. The Project Bank is a storage and communication portal for all project documents. If a dispute should arise, it is important that the minutes are easy to find, for example, explains Puttonen.
