Adopting Single Sign-On will significantly decrease your company’s administrative workload by eliminating the need to establish separate SokoPro user accounts and close them upon the end of the user’s employment relationship. When a user’s credentials to the company’s systems expire, so does their access to SokoPro.
SokoPro is now widely used at YIT. The company has hundreds of users and thousands of documents. Single sign-on has been used since the beginning of 2018.
‘Users clearly benefit from being able to access SokoPro from the YIT network without having to log in separately, while also being able to log in from elsewhere with the same password. When a person’s employment ends, the user ID is locked automatically, thereby also ending the access right to SokoPro. A lot of user ID management and work has been taken out of our hands,’ says IT Manager Pasi Nyman of YIT.
‘We employ approximately 6,000 people in Finland and abroad, and even though not everyone uses SokoPro, the amount of unnecessary work saved is significant,’ Nyman says on utilising SSO.
Grano also receives plenty of orders for prints and drawings through SokoPro. SokoPro can easily be made accessible to all partners as well. YIT has also tested SokoPro outside Finland, for example in the Baltic states and Russia. Nyman considers the SokoPro user interface relatively easy to use. ‘The SSO login is a great improvement, but there may be room for more improvement in the future, of course.’
