Property developer Suomen Controlteam Oy uses SokoPro’s electronic tendering tool in its invitations to tender almost weekly. According to Lepistö, the tool provides many benefits in regard to the everyday operation of the company.
“The greatest benefits are the amount of time saved and not having to order electronic sets of papers since all the files can be saved in the project bank. This provides savings for all parties. Shared use, meaning the sharing of access rights to different groups and individuals, also adds to the flexibility of the tendering tool.” Lepistö says.
The companies responding to the invitations to tender were initially somewhat sceptical about adopting the tendering tool, but now only a few still pine for the old way of doing things.
“Before, some documents were delivered via e-mail while others were submitted in paper format. This necessitated several rounds of reviews. Now users can constantly monitor plans, commercial documents and other documents in real time, in addition to seeing when each document was added and by whom. This makes the work much easier and reduces the number of mistakes.” Lepistö says.
Suomen Controlteam Oy is a Finnish property developer that employs approximately 30 people and values flexibility, local operations and customer-orientation. Despite its relatively small size, Suomen Controlteam Oy is one of the most active users of SokoPro’s electronic tendering tool.
